To the repaintinfo files are specific to the vehicles since they reference the vehicles materials. In download with the comfort class templates you will find the ComfortClass repaintinfos.
You can also copy the cfg lines too into your mods cfg and have the all together.
As for a guide this is the official repaint guide. The process is correct but is missing some vehicle names from the more recent DLC https://steamcommunity.com/sha…iledetails/?id=1687469689
Check the .repaintinfo and that it is referenced properly in the .cfg

You can edit a PNG but it isn't very convenient.
And you need to have layers (not possible with a PNG) to be able to toggle on and off the visibility of the UV map
Use the PSD for editing and save as PNG for your final mod.
You .CFG should have .PNG files linked in them.
As for the alpha layer, I would imagine so because most of the vehicles have windows on the same UV (except Base game MAN Lions Coaches - which use an extra file) and you want the windows to be transparent.
A PSD is Photoshops workfile and is layer based. It can be opened and edited quite widely and edited in programs such as Photoshop or Paint.net (if you need a free alternative)
Use the PSD to add things in layers and paint your repaint. You can then hide the UV map layer and the export the image to a PNG.

There is a template to do this here in the download section of the forum. You can then change the names and logos of the teams, and the player names.

You could put it under the standard MAN Lions Coach or maybe other vehicle and then update it in the future?
Hopefully they will sort that out in the patch!
