Hello everyone,

Today, for the first time, we are giving you a greater insight into the upcoming content for The Bus. We have prepared a roadmap that shows what we are currently working on and what topics are planned for the next updates and DLCs.

The roadmap refers to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If individual content is only planned for PC, this is marked accordingly in the graphic. DLCs are generally planned for all platforms, unless otherwise stated.

Update 1.1: Economy mode update

With Update 1.1, we want to expand and improve the economy mode in several areas. That is why we are calling this update the Economy Mode Update.

Among other things, more customization options are planned for your buses. You will be able to use your own paintwork and attach different components. On PC, you will also be able to create your own logos. This function will not be available on consoles, as it cannot be technically implemented in this form there.

We are also revising the balance of the economy mode. This includes income, expenditure and other values that have an impact on your company.

Update 1.1 also includes further bug fixes, level art fixes and performance optimizations. As usual, we will publish the complete changes in the changelog.

In Progress

In addition to Update 1.1, we are already working on further content and improvements for The Bus.

This includes the eBus 2.2. The license is currently still being clarified. Four variants are planned:

The Hamburg City DLC is also currently being prepared for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and will be released on consoles soon. However, the development of the DLC is not yet complete. Halycon Media is planning further content, including Line 17.

At the same time, we are working on AI streetcars and the integration of force feedback on consoles.

In addition, further national and international DLCs are in development, which we will present in more detail at a later date.

Planned

Additional content and functions are planned for the future. These include enhancements for the economy mode, such as individual operating plans, visible vehicles in the depot and AI buses.

We also want to add button mapping to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, make buses from Fernbus Simulator playable in The Bus and implement a gearbox overhaul.

Another planned content is the DLC Berlin-Charlottenburg with routes 109 and 309. At the same time, we are also working on three new buses, the Alexander Dennis Enviro 400, the Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 and the MAN New Lion’s City.

Halycon Media is also planning additional vehicle DLCs, including the C2 Diesel and the MAN Lion’s Intercity LE.

Note on the roadmap

Of course, in addition to new content, bug fixes, level art fixes and performance optimizations will continue to appear on all platforms.

Please note that content, sequences and time frames can change at any time during development. The roadmap shows our current planning status and is intended to give you a transparent outlook on the next steps for The Bus.
